About The Comic (Veritable Hokum)

Veritable Hokum is a comic about mostly history, maybe science, and possibly some other stuff too. Think of it as a comic-encyclopedia, or a picture-almanac.
It’s split between one-shot explanations of things I think are weird or funny or cool, and longer, multi-comic explorations of subjects that won’t easily fit into the one-shots. Everything is true, to the best of my knowledge, but if it turns out I made a mistake I hope you’ll let me know.

About Me (Korwin Briggs)

I grew up in a small town halfway between Philadelphia and Amish Country. I went to an old Quaker boarding school where I shot lots of nerf guns and then to the Rhode Island School of Design where I drew lots of chickens. Since graduating, I’ve been working as a professional freelance-art-person in a couple different cities (currently New York).

I’ve been collecting weird stories and bizarre factoids for as long as I can remember, and now I’m making a comic about them.

I also do non-comic artwork, for fun and profit – you can see some of it at www.KorwinBriggs.com.
